While Boston and Massachusetts have dominated the Hollywood narrative of Irish-Americans in recent years, with films like Monument Ave, The Departed, The Town and The Fighter,  White Irish Drinkers is set in Brooklyn NY.  Like the Boston films, it also explores the themes of ethnic, urban grit and angst.  The story is set in 1975 and involves two teen age brothers who struggle with timeless themes of class warfare, American dreams and loyalty to the clan.
