The Chieftains - Ireland's Top Traditional Band - Perform at Boston Symphony Hall on Wednesday, March 14

The Chieftains - one of Ireland's foremost musical exports over the past 50 years - is performing in concert at Boston Symphony Hall on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 8:00 p.m.

Tickets to the show - presented by Celebrity Series of Boston - range from $57 to $75 and can be purchased online.

Paddy Moloney, tin whistle player and uileann piper, formed The Chieftains in 1962, with a vision to create an ensemble of virtuosic musicians that sounded orchestral and harmonic without losing the touch of abandon inherent in the music.  Since then the band has toured the world as one of the most innovative and successful folk bands in the world.
