Celtic Woman Performs at Lynn Auditorium on Sunday, June 28


Celtic Woman, the wildly popular all-female singing ensemble from Ireland celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is returning to the New England area for a special concert at the Lynn Auditorium on Sunday, June 28 at 3:00 pm.

The Boston Irish Tourism Association is giving away a free pair of tickets to this special performance. The lucky winner will be notified and announced here on Friday, June 26th, so be sure to check back for the exciting announcement!

Chatham Fiddle Company Presents Irish Traditional Duo Nuala Kennedy & Eamon O'Leary


The Chatham Fiddle Company on Cape Cod is presenting an Irish traditional music concert with Nuala Kennedy & Eamon O'Leary on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 7:30 p.m.  Donation to the show is $20.

The Chatham Fiddle Company is owned by Rose Clancy, a well-regarded instrument maker and traditional musician.  Her father is Gene Clancy of the well-known musical family from County Armagh

Boston Irish Tourism group releases Summer 2015 TRAVEL & CULTURE GUIDE


(BOSTON) -- The Boston Irish Tourism Association (BITA) has released its 2015 summer issue of Travel & Culture Guide, a compendium of Irish festivals and concerts plus culinary, cultural and literary activities taking place in Massachusetts and throughout New England

The 28-page color magazine is distributed free at visitor kiosks and cultural venues throughout Massachusetts and is available in digital format online. 

BITA is celebrating its 15th year as a year-round, cultural tourism organization that promotes the state’s largest ethnic community.  The US Census reports that nearly 24% of all Massachusetts residents claim Irish ancestry.

BITA publishes three issues of Travel & Culture Guide in March, June and November, and has developed the Boston’s Irish Heritage Trail, which highlights Irish landmarks throughout Boston and around the state. See walking trail tour dates here.

Boston Irish Festival at Irish Cultural Centre in Canton, June 13-14


The Irish festival season in New England kicks off with the Boston Irish Festival, taking place at the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton on June 13-14, 2015.

The two-day event features continuous Irish music and dance, along with other festivities such as a 5K road race, a display of Viking Irish culture, and a feis dance competition among the region's leading Irish dance academies.

In addition, find dozens of exhibit vendors featuring the best Irish crafts and products imported from Ireland.

Guided Tours of Boston's Irish Heritage Trail This June-July


The Boston Irish Tourism Association is offering three guided tours of the Boston Irish Heritage Trail this spring, on Sunday, June 14, June 21 and July 5, 2015.

The 75 minute walk, led by veteran tour guide Ted Kulik, covers over 300 years of Boston's illustrious Irish history, from colonial times to the present day.

The tour begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Boston Common Visitor Information Center , located at 139 Tremont Street.  Admission is $15 for adults, and $12 for seniors, students and military.

Among the stops along the tour is the Shaw Memorial (pictured above), created by Irish-born sculptor Augustus Saint Gaudens.
