Author Rosemary Herbert's Book Party at Green Briar Irish Pub in Boston on October 18

The Green Briar Pub in Boston's Brighton neighborhood is hosting a book party for local author Rosemary Herbert, who just released her first mystery novel, Front Page Teaser, featuring fictional tabloid reporter Liz Higgins.

The book party - free and open to the public - takes place on Monday, October 18, 2010 at 7:00 p.m..  Books will be sold and autographed by the author, and there is live music, free hors d'oeuvres, and a cash bar.

The Briar is a fitting place for a book launch, since some of the story's action takes place at the Irish pub's famous Monday night traditional music session led by ace fiddler Larry Reynolds and members of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann

Front Page Teaser is published by Downeast Books and is available online for $14.95.  Herbert was a long time book review editor of the Boston Herald and an authority on mystery writing.

The late, great mystery writer Robert B. Parker called Hebert "a compelling new voice in crime fiction."
