Commemorate the 25th Anniversary of Boston Irish Famine Memorial on June 28, 2023

On Wednesday, June 28, the Irish community from greater Boston is gathering alongside public officials, businesses and immigrant organizations to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Boston Famine Memorial. The event, which is free and open to the public, runs from 11 a.m. to Noon and features reflections from local leaders as well as traditional Irish music and a blessing of the memorial park and of those gathered.  Please check back for updated information  in the coming days  Thank you.

Congratulations to  Stephen Johnston ,  general manager and managing director of Boston Harbor Hotel , who has been honored with the esteemed Hotelier of the Year Award at the 2023 Preferred Global Conference hosted by  Preferred Hotels & Resorts .  The award were announced recently at the Preferred Global Conference, the annual gathering of the  Preferred Hotels & Resorts network, which includes more than  650 hotels, resorts, residences, and hotel groups spanning 80 countries. Among the numerous award categories , the Hotelier of the Year Award stands as the sole individual recognition. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Stephen has worked in a variety of hotels in Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, according to his bio.  Prior to his move to Boston Harbor Hotel, Stephen spent 22 years with The Doyle Collection in Ireland, the U.K. and here in Boston.
