JFK Library Foundation Names Steven Rothstein as New Executive Director

Steven M. Rothstein has been selected as the new Executive Director of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation .  The announcement came today from Kenneth R.Feinberg , Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Throughout his career, Steven has answered President Kennedy’s call to service, dedicating himself to social justice and human progress. We are fortunate that he will now lead the Foundation in inspiring the next generation to become engaged citizens and make the world a better place,” said Feinberg. An accomplished non-profit administrator, public servant, and entrepreneur, Rothstein led the world-renowned Perkins School for the Blind through a period of significant growth during his eleven year tenure as President of the institution. “I am truly humbled to be appointed the next Executive Director of the John F. Lowell Summer Music Series Presents A Celtic Sojourn Roots and Branches Festival

Vishten from PEI  The Lowell Summer Music Series is presenting a stellar line-up of Irish, Irish-American and Maritime music this summer, with A Celtic Sojourn Roots & Branches Festival, taking place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2016 at Boarding House Park in downtown Lowell. The Boston Irish Tourism Association is giving away a free pair of tickets to the show.   Enter the contest here . The line-up includes the New York-based Irish ensemble, Girsa; the Irish duo Kevin Crawford and Cillian Vallely; the Prince Edward Island based trio Vishten; and Irish dancers Kevin Doyle and the Miller Family from Rhode Island.  See details about the performers here.
