Blackstone River Theatre Presents Talisk - Music from Scotland on Sunday, September 29

Blackstone River Theatre's Fall 2019 season features great music from around the world

The 20th anniversary season of the Blackstone River Theatre kicks off on September 21, 2019 and features some of the world's top musicians from countries around the world. A number of top Celtic performers are coming to the BRT, including Eileen Ivers, Winnie Horan, Archie Fisher, Aine Minogue as well as bands including Talisk, North Sea Gas, and a seasonal show called Irish Christmas in America. The 165 seat theatre is handicapped accessible and is acclaimed for its sound system and for its special ambience that connects audience and performers in an intimate setting. Celtic Angels perform at Irish Cultural Centre on September 21

An Irish music, song and dance troupe performs at the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton, MA on Saturday, September 21, 2019 for two shows, 2 and 7:30 p.m.  Tickets are $30 general admission and $25 for ICC members. Order tickets online or call 781 821-8291. The show includes the Celtic Angels singing group, featuring Victoria Kenny, Emily Carroll, Tammy Browne and Amy Preston.  Also on the stage: Celtic Knight Dancers and the Trinity Band Ensemble of Dublin. Lowell Irish Festival, September 21, features Irish music, dance and cultural exhibits

The  Lowell Irish Festival  is taking place on the grounds of the  Lowell Memorial Auditorium  on Saturday, September 21, 2019.  It's an amazing celebration of Irish culture and the arts, in the heart of the Merrimack Valley just north of Boston.   Boston Irish Tourism Association has a free pair of tickets to give away.  Enter the contest here .  Or, you can  purchase tix here  to enjoy this great family festival of live music and dance, cultural activities and more. Among the featured performances are Joshua Tree, The Gobshites, Irish Whispa, and a headlining nighttime set from the L.A. based group, the Young Dubliners.  On the cultural front, don't miss the exhibit, When The Irish Settled in Lowell ,  curated by the Lowell Irish Cultural Committee with historic photos, artifacts, & documents about the early Irish community of Lowell. 7th Annual Irish Cultural Centre 5k Road Race & Fitness Walk, September 8

The  Irish Cultural Centre  hosts the 7th Annual Irish Cultural Centre  5K Road Race and Fitness Walk  at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday September 8th  on the Centre's 46 acre grounds in Canton, Mass.   Registration online is $35 and $40.00 on race day.   According to the organizers, 'The course is flat and fast with bagpipes and other music along the way, with lots of awards across all age divisions, including five youth divisions and 10-year adult age groups through 80+.  There will be unique top three stroller prizes, as well as top three wheelchairs. 'The post race party will include pasta and salads; Guinness and other brews are on tap for adults 21 and over.  Live Irish music and dancers will enliven the post race celebration.  This event is open to athletes of all abilities. Tanglewood Presents Country Music Star Reba McEntire on Sunday, September 1

Reba McEnitre , one of the most successful female recording artists in history, performs at the Koussevitzky Music Shed in Tanglewood at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2019. Tickets are $33 - $159 and can be purchased online or at the venue. Reba has sold over 56 million albums worldwide and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame. She has won 15 American Music Awards; 13 ACM Awards; 9 People’s Choice Awards; 7 CMA Awards; 2 GRAMMY Awards; an ACM Career Achievement Honor; and is one of only four entertainers in history to receive the National Artistic Achievement Award from the U.S. Congress.
