Rockport Music presents Della Mae , a Grammy-nominated, Nashville-based, all-female string band in concert at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA at 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2019. Tickets to the show are $24-29 and can be purchased online . Comprised of lead vocalist/guitarist Celia Woodsmith, 2-time national champion fiddle player Kimber Ludiker, mandolinist Jenni Lyn Gardner, and upright bassist Zoe Guigueno, the band has traveled to over 30 countries spreading peace and understanding through music.   Located at 37 Main Street, Rockport, the Shalin Liu Performance Center is one of the finest acoustical concert venues in New England.  Here is a calendar of upcoming concerts at Shalin Liu this autumn. 

Famed composer and conductor John Williams  joins the Boston Pops Orchestra at the annual   John Williams’ Film Night   returns on Saturday, August 24, with George and Roberta Berry.   The event takes place at the Koussevitzky Music Shed at Tanglewood in Lenox, Massachusetts. Tickets range from $23 to $130 and can be purchased online or at the venue.  Williams, who is Boston Pops Conductor Laureate, hosts this special evening, with  conductor David Newman & the Boston Pops performing a program celebrating the music of Hollywood and more.   The Film Night has long been regarded as one of Tanglewood’s most anticipated and beloved evenings,   Here is a schedule of performances at Tanglewood for the remainder of the season.

The  Boston Irish Tourism Association  is giving away a free pair of tickets to August 24th concert of the  Rockport Celtic Festival , which runs from August 23-25 at the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA.   Enter the contest here.   The 3-day festival is presented by  Rockport Music  in collaboration with artistic directors WGBH Celtic Sojourn radio host  Brian O'Donovan and Edinburgh-born harpist/composer  Maeve Gilchrist , and features top performers from Ireland, Scotland, Canada and the United States.
