Original Poster for Riverdance, 1995 On February 9, 1995, Riverdance - The Show opened for the first time at the Point Theatre, Dublin for a sold-out five-week run, with record sales reaching over 120,000 tickets. It was a victorious sequel to the original seven-minute version of Riverdance originally presented on April 30, 1994 at the Eurovision Song Contest held that year at Point Theatre in Dublin. African American Dancer Morgan Bullock Debuts on the Riverdance 25th Anniversary Tour

Morgan Bullock Morgan Bullock, a 22 year-old African-American from Richmond, Virginia, is part of this year’s Riverdance 25th Anniversary Tour performing in 40+ American and Canadian cities across North America.  Riverdance comes to the Boch Center's Wang Theatre from May 10-15, 2022 in Boston, a long-time bastion of Irish culture, music and dance, with dozens of Irish dance studios devoted to the art of Irish step dancing.   Boston hosed the prestigious World Irish Dancing Championships in March 2013, only the second American city selected to host this international event.  A dancer since the age of three, Morgan is the first female African-American dancer in the acclaimed show, which has been a worldwide phenomenon since it debuted at the 1994 Eurovision show in Dublin.  In fact, it was a YouTube video of that famous performance, featuring lead dancers Jean Butler from New York and Michael Flatley from Chicago, that inspired Morgan to fully turn her attenti...

  Riverdance Summer School at Boston University Riverdance , the acclaimed Irish dance revue that became a world-wide sensation since its debut in 1995, is holding its annual Summer School at Boston University from July 15-27, 2024.  The program is taught by Riverdance dancers, considered the best dance professionals in the world. Week One runs from July 15-20, and Week Two from July 22-27, with classes running each day from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the BU Fitness and Recreation Center on campus.   Here is the Boston Application . Two Final Shows of Riverdance at Boston Opera House on Sunday, April 15

Boston audiences are giving Riverdance a final last hurrah this weekend, as the hit revue of Irish dancing and music makes its final Boston appearance at the Boston Opera House on Sunday, April 15, 2012. On opening night Friday, the troupe received numerous encores and standing ovations, recognizing that Riverdance is finalizing its American performances with this current tour. The show, which has been seen live by over 22 million people, has always been a favorite of the Irish community in Boston and the New England region. In fact, several local dancers and musicians have starred in Riverdance from the area, including World Champion Irish dancers Liam Harney from Walpole and Scott Doherty from Lawrence, and All Ireland accordion play Sean Gannon from Dorchester.
