Singer Pauline Wells Headlines Tribute to American Veterans at Wilbur Theater in Boston on November 12

Boston-based Irish-American singer Pauline Wells is leading a musical tribute to American war veterans at the Wilbur Theater in downtown Boston on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.

Wells is being joined by the Boston Irish band, Devri, the Boston Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums, led by Jim Barry, and the Pipes and Drums band of the New York City Police Department's Emerald Society.

Tickets to the show are $30 - $40 and can be ordered online at Ticketmaster.

The show benefits a local charity, Cops for Kids with Cancer.

Seven Matches of FIFA World Cup Soccer 2026 Schedule in Boston

Today,  FIFA World Cup 2026™  revealed the schedule of which national teams are playing in which stadiums this June and July, when 48 national soccer teams take the field in 16 North American cities.  Boston is hosting a total of seven soccer matches, including five group stage matches, a Round of 32 match, and a Quarter-Final.  Among the teams set to play at Boston Stadium (Gillette Stadium) in Foxborough, MA are Haiti, Scotland, Norway, Morocco, Ghana, England, France and one other team yet to be determined. These matches take place between June 13 and June 26.  The Round of 32 match takes place on June 29, and the Quarter Final Match on July 9, 2026.  The final match of World Cup Soccer takes place on July 19 at New York New Jersey Stadium.  A record 48 teams from around the world are participating in the upcoming games. U.S. Census Bureau Shares Irish-American Demographics in the United States

  The U.S. Census Bureau, which serves as the nation's leading provider of data about the American people, has issued its annual report on Irish-American demographics in the United States . According to a 2019 report, 30.4 million, or 9.2% of the U.S. population, claim Irish ancestry. And 111,886 foreign-born U.S. residents claim Ireland as their birthplace.
