Burren Pub in Somerville Announces Winter/Spring Line up of Irish Music

The Burren Pub in Davis Square, Somerville has put together another great schedule of traditional Irish music as part of its Back Room Series.

Brian O'Donovan, radio host of A Celtic Sojourn Radio show on WGBH, is master of ceremonies at the concerts.

Opened in 1995 by musicians Tommy McCarthy and Louise Costello, the Burren has since become one of the premier traditional music pubs in the world, with live sessions every night of the week and regular concerts featuring a variety of music in the Back Room.

An event honoring the recipients was held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Metropolitan Club near Central Park. The Kip Tiernan Memorial is located in Boston's Back Bay on Dartmouth Street between Newbury and Boylston streets, next to Old South Church, and honors her relentless fight for economic and social justice, and her special attention to helping homeless women. She is best known for founding Rosie’s Place on Easter Sunday in 1974, the first shelter in America to specifically address the issues confronting homeless women.
