Irish Cultural Centre Celebrates St. Brigid Day on February 2

The Irish Cultural Centre of New England  is holding a celebration of Saint Brigid's Day (Lá Fhéile Bríde) and the Celtic holiday Imbloc at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2020.

Led by Maureen McNally, the event includes an afternoon of song, music, poetry, dance and crafts.  Participants will learn how to make a St. Bridid’s cross or a Brigid doll.

The Gaelic traditional holiday marks the beginning of spring and is halfway between the winter solstice and the spring equinox.

Prior to the celebration is a mass at 11 a.m., and an Irish breakfast.
