Historic Bowen’s Wharf in downtown Newport, RI, will host the 31st annual Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival, on October 14th and 15th, 2023. Named one of the “10 Fabulous Fall Festivals on the Coast,” by Coastal Living Magazine, this event is an open invitation for all to come back to the waterfront after the rush of the summer season! Free Admission (food and beverages can be purchased at vendor booths). Rain or shine under the festival tents!

Poe in Lowell Festival

Boston-born short story master Edgar Allan Poe visited Lowell three times in the 1840s, and apparently loved it. Lowell is returning the love with a new festival, Poe in Lowell. Highlights include a "Writing to Scare Yourself: Horror Workshop" , followed by an art show and soiree at the Z Gallery on Saturday. Then on Sunday check out the Poe Brunch at Lala Books on Market Street, Roger Corman's The Raven film at Luna Theatre, and The Edgar Allan Poe Show at the Overlook at Mill No 5 on Jackson Street.
