Julie Pagano
The Quincy Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announces that Julie Pagano has been selected to serve as the next president and executive director of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce, effective Feb. 5
Pagano replaces Tim Cahill who joined the South Shore Chamber of Commerce after seven years with the Quincy Chamber. The Quincy Chamber thanks Cahill for his years of service and wish him well in his new position.
Pagano, a longtime resident of Quincy, most recently worked closely with the Mayor’s Office as a Team Planning Member for the Quincy 400 celebration, a year-long celebration filled with events and activities that highlight Quincy’s unique history and community spirit including cultural events, educational and historical programs, a leadership symposium, and community celebrations.
Prior to this, Pagano was the general manager for Bay State Cruise Company, a nine-vessel fleet offering coastal transportation service, harbor cruises, whale watches, commuter water shuttles, and over 160 private events.
Pagano, who grew up on the waterfront, played a pivotal role in the growth of her family’s business, Boston Harbor Cruises, and served as president until its sale. Her extensive experience and familiarity with the region significantly contribute to her commitment to the Quincy Community and its 27 miles of shoreline.
“I’m honored to accept this role at such an exciting time for the City of Quincy as well as a period of tremendous opportunity for the Chamber,” Pagano said. “The Chamber has a strong Board of Directors, a dedicated staff, and a fast-growing membership of business leaders committed to seeing our region thrive. We will continue to provide a platform for business networking and collaboration, advocate for our members, and offer resources to support and promote economic development in our city.”
Jim Dunphy, president and CEO of South Shore Bank and Chair of the Quincy Chamber Board of Directors stated, “We are pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Pagano as the new president and executive director of the Quincy Chamber of Commerce. Her commitment to promoting community and business growth along with her extensive experience in creating partnerships in the private and public sectors make Julie an excellent choice to lead our Chamber. With her leadership, the Chamber will continue its important work driving growth in our region while fostering important connections for our members and the broader community.”
The Quincy Chamber of Commerce is one of the fastest growing chambers in Massachusetts with 720 members and an impressive slate of corporate partners. The Chamber hosts more than 70 events annually including a monthly leadership breakfast, an annual business showcase, and industry specific events.
