Lt. Governor Tim Murray Marching in the Worcester St. Patrick's Day Parade this Sunday, March 13




The 29th annual Worcester County St. Patrick's Day Parade is taking place this Sunday, March 13, 2011.  The parade begins at noon at Mill Street and ends at Highland Street.

Marching in the parade is Worcester native Tim Murray, the Lt. Governor of Massachusetts. He served as a member of the Worcester City Council and was also the Mayor of Worcester.

This year's Grand Marshal is Charles F. Monaghan, Jr., president of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Also participating in the parade are dozens of marching bands, Irish organizations, local businesses and Irish step-dancing schools like the McInerney School, pictured above.
