St. Patrick's Day: Live Irish music in Irish Pubs in Boston and throughout Massachusetts

Happy St. Patrick's Day. There's great Irish traditional music taking place in Irish pubs in greater Boston and Worcester on Saturday, March 17, 2012. Here are some suggestions from Boston Irish Tourism Association.

Downtown Boston
Starting at noon, two great house bands rock the house.  Sunday's Well brings its special brand of ballads, fiddle tunes and rock songs downstairs, while upstairs, Celtic Clan plays a great mix of U2, Van Morrison, Clancy Brothers and Chieftains.

Burren Pub
247 Elm Street
Davis Square
Somerville
Traditional Irish musicians play nightly in the front room of the Burren.  In the back room, U2 tribute band Joshua Tree, takes the stage from noon to 3:00 p.m, followed by Johnny Come Lateies and then closing out the night with Dave Foley.
300 Canal Street
Lawrence
Join the AOH Division Eight of Lawrence in this all day celebration.  Beyond the Pale performs from 2:00 to close on the first floor, with a DJ spinning tunes upstairs.

Back Bay/South End
Boston
Pauper's Glory performs from noon to 4:00 p.m. followed by a DJ spinning tunes till closing. 

Hibernian Cultural Centre
19 Temple Street
Worcester
Hibernian Cultural Centre is celebrating all afternoon and evening, starting with the Bards, from noon to 4:00 p.m, followed by The Jolly Beggars, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m., then ending the night with DJ Arnie Hamm.
 
Four Green Fields
One Boston Place
Corner of Washington & State
Downtown Boston 
Starting at 10:00 a.m., there's live music all day, featuring Dockside Saints, the Great Whiskey Rebellion, the Boston Police Gaelic Column of Pipes and Drums, bagpiper Tom Childs, and the Dunleavy Schaffer School of Irish Dance.

Waltham
Irish fiddler Helena Delaney and friends lead a traditional Irish music session from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m, while in the Back Room it's Kelly's Ramblers from 4:00 p.m. to close.
 
633 Main Street (Rt 28)
W. Yarmouth, Cape Cod
Johnny O'Sullivan, Johnny Quilter and Dave Hickey perform throughout the day at the Pub.
