Celtic Festival of Quebec Runs August 30 to September 16


The 6th annual Celtic Festival of Quebec is taking place in Quebec City in Canada from Thursday, August 30 to Sunday, September 16, 2012 in venues throughout the historic city.

The festival celebrates the rich Celtic heritage and culture of Quebec, including Irish, Breton, Cornish, Scottish, Gallic,  and Manx traditions.

Marc-Andre Dandeneau, general director of Le Groupe Champlain hotels in Quebec City, notes that  70% of Quebeckers have some amount of Celtic ancestry. 

Activities at the Celtic Festival of Quebec include live music and dancing, storytelling, cartoon artists, lectures, whiskey and beer tasting and Gaelic athletic competitions.  Here is a complete schedule of festival activities.

The Celtic Festival of Quebec was created by the Morrin Cultural Center and is supported by the Quebec City Tourism office and other partners.
