Cape Breton Fiddle Music Comes to Chatham, Cape Cod on Saturday, September 27

Two outstanding fiddlers from Cape Breton - Troy MacGillivray and Andrea Beaton - are performing together at the Chatham Fiddle Company in Chatham, Cape Cod, on Saturday,September 27,2014 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets to the concert are $20 and can be reserved by calling 508 348-1885.

The concert is part of an ongoing series of small, intimate performances at the Chatham Fiddle Company, run by fiddler and instrument maker Rose Clancy and her father, multi-instrumentalist Eugene Clancy.  Read this profile on the Clancy family.

An event honoring the recipients was held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at the Metropolitan Club near Central Park. The Kip Tiernan Memorial is located in Boston's Back Bay on Dartmouth Street between Newbury and Boylston streets, next to Old South Church, and honors her relentless fight for economic and social justice, and her special attention to helping homeless women. She is best known for founding Rosie’s Place on Easter Sunday in 1974, the first shelter in America to specifically address the issues confronting homeless women.
