Irish Traditional Music Stars at the Blackstone River Theatre on Saturday, February 18

Mark Roberts, Laurel Martin & Kieran Jordan

Check out two great acts at the Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland, RI on Saturday, February 18, 2017.  The show begins at 8:00 p.m. and tickets are $15, available at the door.

First is the trio of Laurel Martin, fiddler; Mark Roberts on flute, banjo, and bouzouki; and sean nos dancer Kieran Jordan.  As a trio, they present tasteful musical selections, with dance woven in as rhythmic and visual accompaniment.

The Vox Hunters is an exciting duo featuring Armand Aromin on fiddle and flute and Benedict Gagliardi on concertina.  Their unorthodox collection of tunes underscores their diverse backgrounds and understanding of traditional music.  Armomin is also an instrument maker, having studied violin making at the North Bennet School in Boston's North End.  Gagliardi also sings and plays banjo, ukulele, harmonica and mandolin.

Here is a full schedule of concerts at Blackstone River Theatre in the coming weeks.
