Irish Band Teada Performs at Blackstone River Theatre on Saturday, March 11


Téada, a quartet of talented traditional Irish musicians, performs at the Blackstone River Theatre in Cumberland, RI at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017.  Tickets to the show are $24 and can purchased at the venue or by calling 401725-9272.

Teada (pronounced Tay-da, meaning "strings" in Irish) is marking its first visit to the USA in five years.  Known for their deeply traditional approach to Irish music, the band consists of vocalist Méabh Begley, fiddler Oisin Mac Diarmada,   Damien Stenson on flute, Seán McElwain on banjo and bouzouki, and Tristan Rosenstock on bodhrán.

Also on this tour is champion step-dancer Samantha Harvey.
