Master Bodhran Player Mance Grady Teaching at the Irish Cultural Centre this Fall



Bodhran master player and maker Mance Grady is teaching a five-week course on playing the Irish drum at the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton, beginning September 22, 2017.

A beginner course runs from 7-8 p.m., followed by an Intermediate/Advanced class from 8-9 p.m.  Tuition is $125 for ICC members and $140 for non-members. 

A recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Award for his bodhran playing, Mance is also the first American endorsed by NEA to teach the bodhran in the United States. 

In addition to being an ace player, Mance is also recognized as a respected instrument maker who has made dozens of drums over the past four decades.
