Boston Pops Performs with American Folk Legend Arlo Guthrie on May 15-16 at Symphony Hall

The Boston Pops is performing with American folk legend Arlo Guthrie at Boston Symphony Hall at 8 p.m. on May 15-16, 2019.  Tickets to the concert are $30 - $96 and can be purchased online.

The concert is part of the Pops' Summer of 1969 celebration this year, a look back at the unprecedented scientific exploration, social upheaval, and musical excitement that took place 50 years ago.

2019 is also the 50th anniversary of Woodstock, with Guthrie is helping to celebrate.   Adding to this mix is  a Pops tribute to the year’s two most groundbreaking albums: The Beatles’ Abbey Road and The Who’s rock opera masterpiece, Tommy!

The Pops also pay homage to one of mankind’s greatest achievements with a Boston debut From the Earth to the Moon and Beyond, a new work by James Beckel celebrating the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
