St. Patrick's Day and Irish Heritage Month are big deals in Massachusetts, with hundreds of parades, concerts and festivities throughout the Commonwealth. One great way to celebrate is to sign up for an Irish-themed road race or fun run in the Bay State.  It's a healthy way to usher in spring and prepare yourself for the festivities ahead!

About the Boston Irish Tourism Association

The Boston Irish Tourism Association (BITA) was formed in 2000 to market the vibrant Irish-American community in Massachusetts and New England, especially its culture, heritage, and small businesses. BITA's goal was to connect the Irish-American grassroots community with the state's tourism and hospitality industries so that year round cultural events could be enjoyed by visitors, conventioneers, business travelers and tour groups coming to Massachusetts. The result has been to make it easy for visitors – and local residents – to get immersed in the state’s wonderful range of cultural activities, and to take advantage of the hospitality amenities available to travelers.

BITA also promotes travel to the island of Ireland year round.
